Please note that in line with the advice and guidance recently issued to us by Sheffield City Council and Sheffield Public Health, we have taken the decision to push back the start date for children in nursery, reception, year 1 and year 6 to 15 June at the earliest

Breakfast Club

We have a thriving breakfast club, which caters for over 50 children most days. It runs from 8:00am until 8:45am. It is a wonderful opportunity to have a great breakfast and relax with friends, as well as opportunities to finish homework and to read and draw. Parents are very welcome to remain with their children, chat to the academy staff and share breakfast.

In addition to this, our Academy has joined the government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast. As a NSBP School we are pleased to offer a healthy school breakfast, available to all, and enjoy the benefits that brings, with children settled and ready to learn at the start of the school day.

Every child is offered a fresh bagel every morning during registration to ensure they are ready fr the day of learning ahead.

The Academy Day

The Academy opens at 8.45am to allow children to be in class by registration time.

Aspens is the company chosen by Pathways to provide our meal services.

We believe that the food children eat plays an important role in their wellbeing, and eating a well-balanced diet will not only maintain and improve their health, but will also set them on the right track for later life. We understand this and that’s why we are passionate about ensuring our students are served fresh, high-quality and locally sourced food that is cooked in our kitchen.

Attendance at the Academy is vital for a child’s development, both personally and academically, so we take a pro-active approach to attendance. Unexplained or lengthy absences are taken seriously and are reported to, and followed up by, the Education Welfare Officer, who also deals with persistent lateness. We ask that all parents support us in ensuring their child’s attendance.

Our Pastoral Practitioners are keen to work alongside and support any families who are struggling with attendance.

Please ensure your child arrives at the Academy on time. Children who arrive at the academy before the start of the academy day are welcome to attend our popular breakfast club.
